Dan Cosgrove's 'eclectic' launch success [added 30/11/05]

The album launch was a great success with over 190 people in attendance. A lively crowd were enthralled by the diversity of Dan's songs, slowly coming to terms with this aptly named debut album. Playing piano, clarinet, alto and tenor sax, and singing throughout the night, Dan was ably supported by rhythm section led by co-producer and pianist Ian Macrae.

Highlights of the night included an appearance by Brisbane vocalist Meece Murphy on the torch song 'My Baby Now' and some great trombone playing by Joe Epps on several songs. Jason Collins accompanied on guitar to the enchanting 'Elizabethan Waltz', a clarinet/guitar duo. The set concluded with a rousing performance of the gypsy-flavoured 'The Peace Song' featuring Dan's sister, Josephine Cosgrove.
